Raised in Pinehurst, North Carolina widely considered America’s golf capital, I have been around golf my whole life; I started playing the game when I was four years old. I attended Pinecrest High School, winners of the 4A state championship in 2008 and graduated in 2009. From there I attended Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina to complete their Professional Golf Management program and did internships in Chicago at Sunset Ridge Country and North Carolina at the Country Club of North Carolina. I earned my PGA Class A out of college in 2013 and began to develop my passion for teaching as a seasonal assistant at Skokie Country Club in Glencoe, Illinois and a seasonal assistant at Johns Island Club in Vero Beach, Florida. In 2016, I was brought to Spring Lake Golf Club to work under Matt McKeon and have spent the past 4 years growing my knowledge and passion for teaching and growing the game of golf.
Teaching Philosophy - Golf is a game that involves a connection between the mind and body and it is essential to get the two to work together. Starting with solid fundamentals Grip, Aim, Stance, Posture we can begin to work on the swing and the feel that works best for you. Each swing has individuality and making an efficient swing work consistently is the key to producing better shots, lowering scores, and building confidence. I incorporate Video and TrackMan technology to help provide an understanding to what is we are working on during the swing with clear, concise feedback.
