Teaching Philosophy
I enjoy helping golfers of all skill levels and experience achieve their goals and reach their full potential. My approach begins with working alongside each student to establish personalized goals and develop a clear path toward improvement based on their individual learning style and physical capabilities.
My primary objective is to help every golfer develop and maintain a functional, predictable, and efficient ball flight. I believe in building upon a player's existing strengths while identifying and improving areas that need attention.
Equipment evaluation and teaching aids also play an important role in my instruction, providing valuable visual and kinesthetic feedback. TrackMan technology is an essential part of my coaching process, allowing us to analyze impact conditions, better understand ball flight, and communicate swing concepts in a clear and effective way.
I take great pride in guiding my students through their development and find it incredibly rewarding to be part of their improvement. I look forward to helping every golfer I work with become more confident, consistent, and successful on the course.
Professional Bio
Joe Murphy has been a PGA Member since 2013 and brings extensive experience in golf instruction, player development, and club fitting.
In 2019, Joe completed the PGA Certified Professional Program in Teaching & Coaching, followed by his Level 2 Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Golf Certification in 2020. He is currently pursuing the prestigious PGA Master Professional designation in Teaching & Coaching, further demonstrating his commitment to professional development and excellence in golf instruction.
Throughout his career, Joe has held several positions within the golf industry, including five years as an Assistant Golf Professional at Westlake Golf & Country Club and 10 years as a Teaching Professional at Eagle Ridge Golf Club.
Joe currently serves as the Director of Fitting Development & Master Club Builder at Perfect Swing in Toms River, New Jersey, where he combines his expertise in golf instruction, equipment fitting, and club building to help golfers maximize their performance.
